Dear Reader,
When I returned to Finland and founded Delingua at the beginning of 2005, I had lived in four different countries for a total of 15 years. Along the way I became qualified as a language instructor, an authorised translator and interpreter. Among other things, I had lived in Austria, studied at the Universities of Heidelberg and Mainz (in Germersheim), managed a language school in Madrid and worked as a conference interpreter in EU institutions. I founded Delingua because over the years I had developed a vision of how clients needing language services could be served better, quicker and with a greater degree of versatility.
An ever-increasing degree of international interaction means a greater number of translations, international conferences and foreign visitors, along with a growing need to improve the language skills of company personnel. We have systematically developed Delingua’s services so that our clients can make use of multiple language services as easily as possible, all under one roof. When it comes to high-quality, wide-ranging services and taking into account the needs of our clients, our own terminology management tool Delingua Profiterm™ has enabled us to quickly consolidate our position as a provider of high-level language services.
